Scarf photos

I just got five scarves back from my very talented photographer. I think she has staged these scarves very well. Let me know what you think. These scarves will be up on my etsy site The Loomy Weaver soon. Don't forget to follow my blog for more updates.

New scarf project

This scarf is done in 4/4 cotton verigated warp and red wool weft.  I can't wait to see how this combination works out.

My new (to me) loom

This loom was made on sweden about 35 years ago so the last owner tells me.  It is a lot of fun to weave on.

My old loom is now in pieces

My poor old sears loom is now in about five separate pieces.  This in prep to sell this loom and replace it with a newer swedish loom.  I am going to list this old loom on ebay, craigslist, and possibly my etsy shop.

This loom has served me well but it is now time to get a larger loom for more complicated designs.  May you find a good owner to use you like I did.

My loom video

I made this video a while back to show my loom to my grandmother and vaguely explain the tools that I use. I also made a vague explanation of how weaving works.

I hope you enjoy it

Scarf 5 is finished now onto scarf 6

This scarf uses deep purple 3/2 cotton weft from UKI SUPREME in North Carolina.

Scarf number 5

This scarf is being woven with a different treadling sequence than the last four scarves.  This scarf has 276 ends in 10/2 cotton for the warp, and I am using UKI 3/2 cotton in deep turk for the weft.  I am really liking this new color.
